ALSIM Cirrus Simulator
When flying with Bluetail, you are offered the opportunity to train with the most modern and advanced facilities and technologies. We own one of the 15 Cirrus-specific Simulators worldwide. The ALSIM ALSR2x cockpit is an exact replica of the Cirrus SR2X aircraft, making it simpler to get familiarized with the aircraft’s specifications. The key benefits of training on the simulator include:
- No Cancellations: No more last-minute cancellation due to bad weather
- Safety: Prepare for all possible emergencies that cannot be simulated in the aircraft

Yes, if you plan to operate an aircraft as a pilot-in-command, regardless of the purpose (recreational flying, flight training, commercial operations), you need an aviation medical certificate. Contact a Bluetail representative to help you find a suitable medical examiner near you.
The minimum requirements are listed below:
- Age: 17 Years (16 to Fly Solo)
- Total Flight Time: 40 Hours
- Instruction Flight Time: 20 Hours
- Solo Flight Time: 10 Hours
- Third-Class FAA Medical Certificate
- FAA or Written Test
- FAA or Practical Test (Checkride)
