Day 1 and 2
Welcome to South Africa
Your Flying Adventure begins in Johannesburg, South Africa’s largest city and home to our partner, Cirrus South Africa. After your long flight, you’ll be transferred to your hotel to rest and adjust. We can also offer local tips or make restaurant reservations if desired. The next morning, meet your Bluetail safety pilot and head to Lanseria Airport, where your Cirrus aircraft awaits. Get familiar with your plane and undergo training focused on African airspace. The rest of the day, relax or explore Johannesburg’s highlights, ending with a traditional Braai in the evening.

Day 3 and 4
The Great Kalahari
We’re ready to take off to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, where endless dunes are home to gemsbok, springbok, and wildebeest. After a flight from Johannesburg with a stop in Upington, you’ll arrive in the Kalahari desert. A safari jeep will take you to your lodge, serving as a game drive with chances to spot wildlife. Relax with a welcome drink and keep an eye out for the rare black-maned Kalahari lions. The next day, meet the Khomani San people and learn about their hunter-gatherer culture through bush walks, animal tracking, and visits to an open-air museum. Enjoy authentic Kalahari cuisine at Aunt Koera’s Farm Kitchen.

Day 5 till 7
Discover Namibia's Highlights
After breakfast, we fly to Namibia, staying at a lodge inside Namib Naukluft Park, allowing early access to Sossusvlei for sunrise and sunset views. Relax by the pool after your flight, then enjoy stargazing at night. The next day, explore Sossusvlei with a private guide and climb the Big Daddy dune for stunning views of Deadvlei. After a picnic lunch, return to the lodge. Start the following morning with a hot air balloon ride over the desert, followed by a champagne breakfast. Then, fly to Windhoek for an unforgettable afternoon tea and giraffe feeding experience.

Day 8 till 11
The Okavango Delta
In the early morning, we continue to Botswana, where we will explore the majestic Okavango Delta. The Mababe Concession is intimate and offers great wildlife spotting opportunities. Here, you will spend two nights sleeping in luxurious tents that truly emphasize the “Out of Africa” feeling. Various game drives are on the schedule, after which we dive deeper into the delta as we travel to the Khwai Reserve. Enjoy another two nights overlooking the water and plains of the Okavango and join a mokoro boat ride to experience a truly local means of transport. Departing the area, we first make sure to fly over the stunning landscapes at low altitude: time for an aerial safari on our way to the next highlight of your trip!

Day 12 till 15
A private game reserve
We arrive at Limpopo Lipadi, a private reserve for which Bluetail has exclusive booking rights. Limpopo is home to endangered wild dogs and white rhinos and allows you to tick off the last animals on your Big 5 list. After morning coffee the next day, head into the wilderness with rangers to track rhinos and learn about conservation. In the afternoon, take a 4×4 course and earn a guide certificate. Enjoy a dinner outdoors, with a braai under the stars.On your final day, join an early safari to spot big predators, then relax by the pool before an afternoon game drive and a spectacular sundowner overlooking the reserve. After a final drive to the airstrip, depart for Johannesburg, ending an unforgettable safari adventure through southern Africa. Stay an extra night before your flight home if desired.
